Legal English Skills, Law and Language in the AI Era

6, 7 and 8 September 2024 – Bologna Italy

The ILETA Hybrid Conference 2024 will be held online and in person from 6 September to 8 September 2024 in Bologna – home of the oldest University and law faculty in Europe. 

The Conference will cover the topics of Legal English Skills, Law and Language in the AI Era.  

Just to confirm, presenters do not need to be directly about AI but can also include any what measures/methods/changes you are introducing with the  abundance of AI available. 

We welcome topics on legal English skills, law and language.  Ideas for  individual presentations may include topics such as legal drafting, legal translations, teaching legal English, and other skills combined with or without AI technology. 

ILETA presentations are always practical and interactive and we would like to continue along that line. Presentations should be a maximum of 45 minutes comprising of 30 minute presentations and 15 minutes for QnA. 

Please note: Presenters who are BASIC Members will be asked to contribute 50% of the Registration fee whereas the Registration Fee for BRONZE Members will be waived.

In the meantime, mark your diaries for the dates 6 to 8 September 2024.

A general outline of the Conference is as follows:

  • Friday – 6 September 2024 – Meet and Greet – Italian Aperitivo 
  • Saturday – 7 September 2024 – Lectures & Workshops & Conference Dinner
  • Sunday 8 September 2024 – Lectures & Workshops – Lunch & Social Activities 
Costs of Registration will depend on whether you are online or in person. 
 
The Online Costs of Participation will be:
 
  • Basic Membership:     €70 per person
  • Bronze Membership    €50 per person 
 
In person participation costs are:
  • Basic Membership: €110 per person (includes coffee breaks, Saturday lunch and Saturday Dinner; cultural tour on Sunday and materials)
  • Bronze Membership: €90 per person (includes coffee breaks, Saturday lunch and Saturday Dinner; cultural tour on Sunday and materials)

The above registration fees do not include accomodation/travel to and from Bologna.
