Using specific news articles can help explain the formation of contracts, the breach of certain contracts, and the remedies that are available.
It allows the students to use the vocabulary in real time as it is connected to real events in real time.
In addition, it allows for spontaneous conversations on legal topics being covered. This is a skill that every Legal English teacher should have.
Biography
Tonya Teichert
‘I began my career as a critical care Registered Nurse. I went on to law school while working as a Legal Nurse Consultant. Upon completion I worked in insurance defense for medical malpractice and product liability cases. I went on to obtain my MBA and have used those skill while living in Germany for the past 17 years.’
