Are you teaching Legal English through common law sources ? Whilst this might be interesting how relevant is it to your clients/students?

Using common law concepts can present many specific challenges—from complexity of concepts and terminology, translation, to jurisdictional specific differences.

In our first ILETA Monthly MeetUP (and as a warm-up to our WinterSchool 2026), we will share experiences, discuss common difficulties, and exchange practical strategies for using common law materials effectively with civil law legal English learners.
