ILETA is excited to announce that in our next ILETA Monthly Trainers’ MeetUP we will be discussing the topic ‘Using Emotional Intelligence to Engage Non-Communicative Students’

Information about the MeetUP

As we all know, in many of our classrooms, the biggest challenge isn’t student ability — it’s silence.
We all encounter students who avoid participation, give minimal responses, or seem emotionally “checked out.”

Traditional engagement strategies (cold calling students, more direct questions, extra tasks) don’t always work — and can sometimes make students withdraw even more.

In our upcoming ILETA MeetUP, we’ll explore how emotional intelligence (EI) can become a practical teaching tool for reaching these learners.
